So, that tittle is technically a lie as I’m not actually leaving… I’m just re-locating. Over to blogger, with a new domain and what not. Blogger just seemed to be more practical for what I wanted and I feel a fresh space for my blog is exactly what I needed. I also have a tone of posts already lined up and scheduled so it’s going to have more regular and better content.

I hope to see you all over there. Adios amigos x
I’m the kinda gal who likes to stick to what she knows so after having a Tumblr account for almost 4 years, I always favoured it over Pinterest. I still love my trusty ol’ Tumblr page but there’s no denying that when it comes to visual inspiration for both Fashion and Interior design, Pinterest just steals the spotlight. So after spending endless nights of religiously scrolling through my Pinterest feed, I decided to share it with you all. I’m all for minamalist designs at the moment so here’s some images from my [almost] all white pin-board.
Sandals £24.99 – New Look
I live in chunky boots so finding a sandal that I like is never the easiest mission so when I saw these sitting in the window of my local New Look I was all over ’em. They’re also perfecto for the transitional weather as you can still wear them with ankle socks and tights. I don’t normally like New Look but there’s no denying their shoe game is on point. Always bringing out a thrifty alternative to a bloggers fave.. think back to the Coltrane dupes for a mere £25 and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
Ending the year with a cheeky little review of this American Apparel Matte Top Coat that I picked up a few weeks ago at the AA store on Portobello Road. The sales assistant reminded me of how well it sells, which came as no surprise considering the amount of hype surrounding it online. It costs a hefty £9 which is incredibly over priced but the quality does make up for it with a smooth application and only requiring one coat over your chosen colour. I’ve been using it over the top of a black nail polish so that my nails match my matte black Range Rover.. that’s parked in the garage of my dreams, obviously. Unfortunately the finish isn’t as matte as I’d like it to be, it has more of a semi-gloss finish and although that isn’t ideal, it stills leaves a satisfying finish and maintains it for a good 4-5 days chip free. The packaging is also decent and lets be realistic, the deciding factor always comes down to a decent font. I approve, AA.
A slightly hypocritical purchase as I find Rihanna extremely overrated and obnoxious but I’m a sucker for a MAC lipstick and leaving the house without a bright red or deep shade of purple pasted across ma’ lips is a little daunting nowadays. The packaging resembles a bullet with the traditional MAC shape and rose gold colour; fierce packaging for equally as fierce colours.
MAC lipsticks have the reputation that although a little pricey, completely justified by the quality of the product. I love the matte finish of these lipsticks as gloss/shine on lip products have never appealed to me. Unfortunately the matte formulation makes them extremely drying on the lips and on times harsh to apply, this is to be expected of any lip product that has a matte finish though. However the lasting power on them is so impressive it takes the edge off dried out lips at the end of the day. I rarely need to re-apply and when I do it’s normally just an excuse to admire the packaging for the billionth time.
As you can tell by the pictures, RiRi Woo is a vibrant red with slight blue undertones. Also made clear by the pictures, it’s already a well loved product. You also don’t need to worry about it bleeding out which is always a bonus for someone like me who manages to lose any suitable lip liner to match this colour.
The second colour I picked up is Talk That Talk which is a dark deep purple and perfect for colder months. Admittedly a little darker on the lip than first anticipated and possibly the most daring lipstick I own but I’ve learnt to love it and plan on using it a tone this Winter.
Sorry if this has been a little more wordy than what my normal posts include, I just wanted to mix it up a little and share this review.
Life is crazy at the minute; probably pretty average to the normal person but for a sloth like me it’s a whole different story. I’ve obviously still had enough time to put together a shopping list of things I need asap though.
I’ve been interning at House of Holland and after staring at that floral parka, I’ve never wanted something more in my entire life. I’m also dying for a pair of Vagabonds but I can’t justify another pair of black boots.
Coat – ASOS | Crop top – ASOS | Leather look pinafore – Primark | Bag – Zara | Boots – Jeffrey Campbell | Silver chain – River Island
The arrival of Autumn has only enhanced my already all black everything attitude so this coat adds the perfect amount of colour. The check ties in perfectly for a subtle grunge inspired outfit but the fit of the coat juxtaposes the entirety of it with an almost… boxy fit?
I took these snaps before attending a bloggers briefing for CFW with Taylor and Ella (who kindly took this picture for me) and the event was held in Cardiff bay which explains why there is so much water behind me instead of the usual (boring) brick wall. The whole idea of outfit snapping in such an aesthetically pleasing location is a breeze, right? Right. The literal sense though, a cold, windy breeze.
