GOOD BYE

So, that tittle is technically a lie as I’m not actually leaving… I’m just re-locating. Over to blogger, with a new domain and what not. Blogger just seemed to be more practical for what I wanted and I feel a fresh space for my blog is exactly what I needed. I also have a tone of posts already lined up and scheduled so it’s going to have more regular and better content.
Please follow my new blog on bloglovin’

I hope to see you all over there. Adios amigos x

Red Coat and Leather

Coat – ASOS | Crop top – ASOS | Leather look pinafore – Primark | Bag – Zara | Boots – Jeffrey Campbell | Silver chain – River Island

The arrival of Autumn has only enhanced my already all black everything attitude so this coat adds the perfect amount of colour. The check ties in perfectly for a subtle grunge inspired outfit but the fit of the coat juxtaposes the entirety of it with an almost… boxy fit?

I took these snaps before attending a bloggers briefing for CFW with Taylor and Ella (who kindly took this picture for me) and the event was held in Cardiff bay which explains why there is so much water behind me instead of the usual (boring) brick wall. The whole idea of outfit snapping in such an aesthetically pleasing location is a breeze, right? Right. The literal sense though, a cold, windy breeze.

Benefit Rockateur Launch | Review

P1060106 P1060105

I recently attended a blogger event held by Benefit Cosmetics in Cardiff Tiger Tiger to launch their newest blusher, Rockateur. It involved all things every blogger loves; instagram-able mini food, swanky looking cocktails and savvy make-up tips. Obviously making for a room of happy bloggers!

Benefit are one of my favourite brands so I was intrigued to try it but admittedly a little skeptical as I’m not a big fan of blusher (I’d much rather a subtle bronzer to contour my cheeks and leave it at that). Luckily for me, the blush is a warm golden colour with subtle shimmer – perfect for day to night wear.  As the colour matched my satisfaction and didn’t leave me looking like a clown, it was down to the formulation to decide whether or not the product had my seal of approval.  Unfortunately it wasn’t the most pigmented product I’ve tried, however it was build-able and looked a lot better over the top of a primer and foundation – It takes more than a swatch on the back of the hand to see the full capability.

I don’t have a lot more to say about the product as I haven’t used it yet, however, it impressed me enough that I intend on making a trip to the Benefit counter later this week…

Next S/S Home Event

I popped along to an event held by Next earlier this week and were kindly given a £50 gift card to spend in store, which was perfect because I got to hunt down the perfect birthday present for Momma Powell and treat myself to some floral embellished cushions and pastel colour soft furnishings, ready for when I move out later this year – Early bird gets the worm, right? Or in this case.. Early bird gets the cosy bedroom with refreshing florals!

We then headed over to St Davids Hotel & Spa for some light snacks, tea and manicures (how kind) and if that wasn’t enough we even got to leave with a gift bag  filled with even more treats (included in this was a luxury diffuser and my entire house now smells like a tropical island – mmm)

We also got to watch the new advert and some behind the scene clips – the advert had me won over when I heard the soundtrack though; who doesn’t love  Two Door Cinema Club? It’s fresh and perfect for Spring  and I can guarantee there is something to suit everyone. There’s a huge variety of different collections to take a look at too, so if you’ve got a spare five minutes, pop into your local Next, although I can’t be held responsible for how much you spend.

Street Style – Cardiff (The Hayes)

One of my favourite things to do is sit at Starbucks and watch the world pass by, I often get a tone of inspiration from the people walking past. Everyone’s got a different life, story and of course, style. That effortless, thrown together look is definitely my favourite; who actually has time and patience to wear a perfectly formed attire to browse the shops?

Comfort in Fashion can often be a rarity and each person in the above photos has managed to work that comfortable trend and still keep it unique and that’s something to appreciate.
