Sandals – Birkenstock
I need to stop buying incredibly ugly but equally as comfy shoes that are now deemed trendy because the Olsen twins regularly rock them with socks and oversized knits. A classic case of; they aren’t OK until Alexa [Chung] says so.
This Easter weekend hasn’t just been about my new footwear but it’s also included a rare appearance from the sun and a pretty sick playlist to accompany said sunshine. Enjoyyyyyy.
Dress – C/O French Connection | Bag – C/O Not On The High Street | Hat – Similar Here
I received these goodies in the post a couple of weeks back and I can’t believe I’m only now sharing them with you, sorry amigos.
This outfit is completely different to anything I would normally wear but I wanted to mix it up and try something different. It’s unintentionally turned a little Nashville-esque but I’m just going to blame that on the constant country music my mother would play to me as a child.
I can’t see my love for Country fashion extending any further than this outfit though; which is perfectly fine as this dress is so versatile it only requires a change of accessories to create a whole new look.
Flip Flops – Versace Collection | MAC Fix+ Spray | Sunglasses – Ray Ban | Nail Polish – Barry M (Matte White)
Mixin’ it up today and sharing with you some essentials I’ve accumulated over the past few weeks. It’s been impossible to leave the house without my Fix+ spray recently, I don’t know whether I’m more grateful for the little refreshing bursts through out the day or the fact my make-up doesn’t completely melt off my face… Not a pleasant look . I’ve also been obsessed with white nail polish since the Kate Moss (June 2013) cover of Vogue. The colour enhances my almost-non-existent arm/hand tan.
A pair of black sunglasses and sandals are personal preferences as majority of my outfits are monochrome based, but I can’t stress enough how handy a pair of black flip flops are for throwing on to finish up a floaty/care free summer outfit.
*The iPhone is a little random but I can’t stop listening to Bombay Bicycle Club. I tend to listen to certain bands/artists more depending on the weather and this band are perfect for the Sun
and also make me extremely depressed I’m not attending any festivals this year.
Dress – Urban Outfitters | Kimono & Sunglasses – Primark
My current wardrobe basically consists of day dresses and kimonos. I’m really not a Summer child but I’ve enjoyed wandering around in floaty outfits like this for the past few days. Although I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t patiently awaiting the return of chunky knit scarfs and cosy hats.
Dress – Urban Outfitters | Kimono – Boohoo | Bag & Hairband – Primark | Lipstick – MAC (Lip liner in Brick)
It hurts my soul that these photos were taken in my garden and not the fields of Glasto, but if I was attending any kind of festival this year, this is probably what I’d wear.
The fringe detail on the kimono and bag give the outfit a real bohemian feel and the floaty material of the dress and flowers in my hair make me feel like the lovechild of a hippy with a strong case of wanderlust. Equaling the perfect festival gedddup.
Enjoy the sun Amigos.
To describe my love for this collection anything less than obsessed would be an understatement. The bold prints, colours and hints of grunge make it everything I look for in clothes, especially for SS13. Well done Bitching & Junkfood, you continue to amaze me.
The malpelo dress is just one of the many things I’ve got my eye on. Some pieces are a little over priced but the colour clashes and insane prints justify the hefty price tag.
I wasn’t going to blog about this collection but in case you haven’t discovered Bitching & Junkfood yet, I thought I’d lead you in the right direction. Enjoy!
I don’t know who I think I am with all these items – I’m starting to resemble a certain white rapper in a thrift shop…
Statement blouses are becoming my go-to items, they’re quite literally becoming my thing for 2013.
I’m absolutely obsessed with those floral flatforms from ASOS too and isn’t that belt just, dope?
The HUF socks and lion head gold chain are just to satisfy my inner white rapper (like stated above..)
I suppose the cute little jelly shoes are a subtle reminder that I’m still a little girl at heart and not complete white trash, just yet.
